Spirit of the West Community Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that partners with local health and other agencies to serve the unmet needs of the elderly, disabled, handicapped, at-risk, and those in crisis.
Even with all the great services here in our area there are just some needs that go unmet - that's why we're here. We partner with many community agencies and organizations to try to fil in those gaps. Our main concern is that needs that involve safety, sanitation, and security are addressed and met for those who usually are the least able to meet those needs for themselves.
Some of the services provided include weed abatement, trash removal, general clean-up. Repairs such as unsafe steps, porches, ramps, floors, home safety modifications, etc. And at times depending of the situation we can provide transportation.

Our volunteers are just everyday people who have a heart to help others. No special talents required - but if you do have some special skills or talents that's great!
Our volunteers operate on an 'on-call' basis - that is - when there is a need in your area a call goes out and if you are available to respond then let us know. If you are busy or unavailable we certainly understand.
